MX960R Fixed Tooth Mulcher for Excavator, 18-33 Ton

The Baumalight MX960R Brush Mulcher has a 60” rotor and is designed for excavators starting at 18 ton up to 33 tons. The MX960R uses a fixed tooth holder comes with heavy duty double carbit tipped teeth (R9000), these teeth are ideal for vegetation management with lots of ground contact and don’t mind the occasional stone. Powered by a piston motor like all of the larger Baumalight mulchers the MX960R comes with aggressive root rake ripper teeth build into the frame to rip out rocks and move logs. The unit also has a heavier duty body, built with a low-weight, high-strength AR400 steel and is equipped with replaceable body wear plates.

REPLACEABLE BOLT-IN LINER

Save time by easily replacing the AR400 steel wear plates on the MX960R without needing to remove the rotor.

ADJUSTABLE BELT TENSIONER

The adjustable belt tensioner ensures the proper tension of your belts, with no extra idler wheel that could wear out. Simply loosen the bolts and raise the motor mount to tighten the belt.

OPTIONAL TWO-SPEED MOTOR

To maximize the rotor speed and torque to account for changing mulching material, the MX960R is available with a variable two-speed motor option.

BENT AXIS PISTON MOTORS ARE A STANDARD OPTION

Our industry leading bent axis piston motors make the most use of your hydraulic flow and pressure for your brush clearing needs.

WIRE PROTECTION KIT

If you are mulching and you catch some old fence wire, it can really cause damage to the unit if the wire slips over the edge of the rotor and gets wrapped around the shaft. The wire can get bunched against the bearings, causing major damage. Our wire protection kit contains a welded raised area on the end of the rotor that protects the shaft and prevents wire from getting in.

All MX960R Brush Mulchers come with a free set of 6 replacement teeth. These replacement teeth can be convenienty stored in the enclosed spare tool compartment.

EASY ACCESS GREASE FITTINGS

Reduce your regular maintenance time by easily greasing the bearings on the MX960R from outside the frame. No tools required.

OVERTORQUE PROTECTION - RELIEF VALVE

The relief valve protects the motor and the hydraulic system from pressure spikes. When an obstacle is hit the relief valves open and relieves the pressure.

REINFORCED BELT

A heavy duty reinforced belt delivers the force from the gear box to the rotor. This offers protection from the shocks inherent in mulching.

CHAIN CURTAIN

The rear of the unit is guarded by a 3/8” thick chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits.
